Kim and Wei Foong got married with a small ceremony at the gorgeous San Francisco City Hall. I absolutely adore city hall! The building’s architecture and natural light makes for such beautiful and timeless wedding photos. Afterwards, we headed to Crissy Field where the San Francisco afternoon sun provided us with a wonderful backdrop for more portraits. See more from the wedding here.
For those who don’t know, sometimes I get to exercise my video skills by assisting and second shooting video for the multi-talented Kevin Chin. A few months ago, I got to help out with Connie and Peter’s wedding on Treasure Island which included traditional Chinese lion dancing and a trolley ride across the Bay Bridge. My favorite part of shooting video is capturing the little details and candid moments. All these smaller parts help make the final story of the wedding day so much richer.
After Kelly and Chris’s memorable engagement shoot (frolicking on the beach in a shark and bear costume!), I knew that their wedding was going to be equally fun. Buena Vista Winery in Sonoma was the perfect setting for their intimate ceremony. Chris is from Scotland and Kelly is from Korea and both of their parents flew out from their perspective homelands to join in the celebration. See more from the wedding here.
Casen and Manny’s wedding was just the kind of celebration that fit their easy-going personalities. The day started with a small ceremony at St. Mary Magdalene Church in Bolinas (quite possibly the cutest church ever!) and then a large family style dinner at Manny’s parent’s home in Stinson Beach. Afterwards, we all headed over to the Stinson Beach Community Center where Casen and Manny had set up a carnival themed party complete with games and carnival junk food for the whole town to enjoy! This past Saturday, fabulous photographer (and videographer) Kevin Chin, ask me to assist his wedding videography team. It wasn’t the first time I’ve assisted him with videography but it was the first time I got to see his amazingly talented editor Phil do a same day edit. Watching the process before my eyes was impressive and the final result was beautifully edited. It was so great to see our work immediately put together in a touching narrative for our couple to be played at the reception. Definitely worth all the hard work!
