  2. I live in a converted warehouse in West Oakland, and it’s the best willing subject for me to test out new (old) cameras. (These were shot with my Nikon FG-20, which I plan to use in Taiwan. I can’t wait!)

  7. Angela and Benny just moved to the Bay Area from Texas to start a family (with their two dachshunds, Harry and Winston!) Their new home provided so many beautiful natural light vignettes that I could have spent hours shooting at their house. I don’t what my favorite part of the shoot was: being followed around by their cute pups or the crocheted cowboy booties and cowboy bib! See more from the shoot here.

  8. Pipes. (Art installation by Randy Colosky, “Ghost in the Machine” at Chandra Cerrito Contemporary, Oakland.)

  9. Christian contacted me on Friday for a last minute corporate headshot and luckily, I was able to schedule him in. Part of what makes my job so much fun is getting to know people in a short amount of time. Within the half hour it took for us to knock out some photos to make the big guys at the top happy, I learned that Christian had just spent two years living in Singapore, that he was wearing his custom-made wedding suit and that he’s also a fan of the Black Keys. I’m just glad I was able to help make his transition back to US soil a little bit easier!
